AUGUST 7TH-WALTER CONTINUES TO HANG ON ,BUT IS CONTINUALLY TALKING OF HOME AND HEAVEN AS HE SLIPS IN AND OUT OF SLEEP
August 6th /Walter continues to hang on and has been a little more responsive .,he seems at peace in knowing the crossing to his reward is near
august 5th-walter still hanging on in a very weak condition ,could be a matter of days or a matter of hours ...
august 4th (afternoon) today Walter looked up and smiled and said' almost there'',he asked his son britt how he was doing ,walter then replied im going home!
AUGUST 4th -Walter is slightly more responsive again he asked for water today and took a few sips ,,,still resting at home ,,with family around him ,still looks like he will soon be in heaven .......
august 3rd /WALTER IS HANGING ON TO LIFE BUT THE END WILL SOON BE NEAR HE IS AT HOME RESTING WITH A FULL TIME NURSE THERE ,AND IS UNRESPONSIVE TO ANYTHING AROUND HIM ,THE FAMILY WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL
August 2nd --Walter is in a serious state he has been incoherent for a few days .,does not know anyone ,and is laying there staring and whispering to himself ,it looks as if Walters journey in this world is soon over ,and his reward is close at hand !HE HAS GONE DOWNHILL SIGNIFICANTLY SINCE LAST MONDAY WHEN HE PLAYED AND SPOKE AT FORK CREEK ,,,,
August 1st -Walter is in a declining state ,he is back in bed with increasing pain, and weakness, and is increasing medicine ,for increasing pain, not looking good, please pray for Walter and his family ,we thank god for the past month and a half he has been able to preach and play again
July 27th -though Walter is still able to get out and about \play the banjo and be in the pulpit he is having very serious stomach problems the doctor feels the cancer is eating his stomach and intestine areas ,and he is in serious condition again please pray for Walter and his family and the GRB/WALTER FEELS HE IS CLOSE TO HOME !
JUNE 30TH --WALTER RETURNS TO THE STAGE!
WALTER JOINED THE GRB ON STAGE JUNE 30TH AT THE COLUMBUS BBQ SING ,FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE MARCH ,GLAD TO HAVE ALL SIX GRB MEMEBERS ON STAGE AGAIN!,,WALTER IS HOPING TO FILL MOST THE DATES WITH THE GRB IN JULY ,AS LONG AS HE CONTINUES TO FEEL STRONG ENOUGH,,

JUNE 22ND/MIRACLE NEWS!....in the last few months Walter has been laying in bed ,barely moving taking lots of pain medicine ,and getting the word from doctors he just had a few weeks to live/STAYING IN BED 24 HOURS A DAY ,IT LOOKED LIKE HE WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO WALKOR MOVE FROM HIS BED AGAIN,,yesterday ,fathers day, June 21st Walter strolled into church walking on his own without a walker wheelchair or anything dressed in his suit and ready for church ,fork creek Baptist church had a awesome service ,,with tears in many eyes ,Walters children were there with him to honor him on fathers day !Walter also attended Sunday night and is feeling great ! looking better than he has through this whole ordeal! /looks like he will be playing banjo with us again sometime soon out on stage ,we will now be holding Wednesday night prayer meetings at church again since Walter is no longer confined to home !THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO RANG ON THOSE PRAYER BELLS! CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR MORE RECOVERY FOR WALTER AND COOT ,COOT IS DOING AWESOME AS WELL AND WILL SOON BE 100% BACK WITH HIS VOICE AND SINGING /HE'S STILL PASSING BY!

JUNE 20TH--COOT WAS WITH US AGAIN LAST NIGHT AT THE TRUCK STOP ,HE WAS ABLE TO SING BETTER THAN HE THOUGHT/ SANG BACKGROUND FOR JAMES AND BRUCE AS WELL AS SINGING ONE SOLO SONG HE AND WALTER ARE BOTH DOING WELL,,THANKS TO ANSWERED PRAYERS

JUNE 18TH..WALTER THIS WEEK HAS TAKEN HIS FIRST RIDE IN A CAR SINCE EARLY APRIL, AND IT DIDN'T SEEM TO HURT HIM AT ALL ..HE IS SITTING UP ON THE COUCH ,STANDING AND WALKING QUITE A BIT NOW EACH DAY ,,,,AND LOOKS LIKE A TOTALLY DIFFERENT, PERSON COMPARED TO WHAT HE WAS A FEW MONTHS AGO. HIS HOSPICE NURSES ARE VERY AMAZED AND IMPRESSED! GOD ISN'T DONE WITH WALTER YET! TUNE IN TO 1160AM SAT AT 11AM TO HEAR WALTER PREACH ON THE RADIO THIS SATURDAY
UPDATE-6-17 COOT IS MUCH BETTER ,TAKING THERAPY ,SANG IN HIS CHURCH CHOIR SUNDAY ,/WALTER HAS BEEN CUTTING DOWN HIS MORPHINE INTAKE ,NOW TAKING JUST PILLS ,NO LIQUID ,.,LOOKING BETTER
UPDATE ,6-13-09 WALTERS FIGHT WITH CANCER ,.....WALTER IS REGAINING STRENGTH AND IS NOW PREACHING ON HIS RADIO BROADCAST (11AM-SAT'S WJFJ 1160AM )VIA PHONE THIS MAKES TWICE A WEEK THAT HE IS NOW PREACHING FROM HIS BED ,,A SIGN GOD IS STILL USING HIM ,TO MINISTER AND PASTOR, WALTER IS NOW STANDING AND DOING SOME WALKING AROUND HIS HOUSE WITH HELP ,From, THE LORD AND HIS FAMILY, SOMETHING THAT SEEMED IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM JUST A FEW WEEKS AGO !/COOT'S SPEECH IS ALSO IMPROVING!
6-10-)COOT HAS HAD A SMALL STROKE!
coots wife has called and informed us doctors believe coot has had a small stroke sometime between Sunday and Monday...he is having problems with his speaking but has improved with his speaking in the last few days pray for coot and his family and the green river boys ,we will try to fill our obligated dates if possible for now ,we are hoping coot recovers enough to sing some more ..
6-11-09 update on Walter
PRAISE GOD! WALTER HAS HAD A GOOD WEEK, FOR THE FIRST TIME I WEEKS HE IS ABLE TO DANGLE HIS FEET OVER THE BED WITHOUT ANY HELP AND MOVE AROUND A LITTLE HE WAS ALSO ABLE TO WALK WITH THE HELP OF HIS SON INTO HIS KITCHEN !
HE PREACHED AND PLAYED BANJO AGAIN LAST NIGHT FROM HIS BED ,HIS PREACHING CONTINUES TO BECOME STRONGER AND LONGER !
THIS SATURDAY (JUNE 13TH) WALTER WILL BE PLANNING TO PREACH VIA PHONE ON THE RADIO 1160AM WJFJ AT 11AM ........................

MAY 27TH -WALTER PREACHED A GOOD MESSAGE FOR THE FORK CREEK PRAYER MEETING HELD AT HIS HOME ,.,ALONG WITH THE FORK CREEK MEMBERS THE FAIRHAVEN BAPTIST YOUTH CHOIR WAS ON HAND
MAY 20TH at the wed night fork creek Baptist prayer meeting held at Walters home Walter was able to hear his son in law,who was recently called to preach ,preach for the first time around 30 were in attendance Walters nephew's church solid rock Baptist also joined the service ,Walter is holding on but is in pain if he is moved ,but can function well ,play banjo well is very coherent and lively and joking still, as long as he is in bed ,,and not moving around ,
coot came by and played with walter for a while tuesday may 19th at walters home

THE LAST TWO WED NIGHTS, THOUGH NOT ABLE TO GET OUT OF BED WALTER HAS PREACHED FROM HIS BED AT FORK CREEKS COTTAGE PRAYER MEETING AT HIS HOME .,THIS MEANS SO MUCH TO WALTER THAT HE CAN STILL PREACH AND MINISTER TO HIS CHURCH ,,HE ALSO CONTINUES TO PLAY BANJO WELL FOR ANYONE WHO COMES BY ,,,

turned over to hospice and his time on earth limited to a few months ,he isn resting at home
